OHSWCA District Duals roundup: Buckeye, St. Vincent-St. Mary, Rootstown and Perry advance in Divisions II and III

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The field for this season’s OHSWCA state wrestling duals is set after district duals for all three divisions took place statewide Saturday.

With Aurora and Ashland, two of last year’s final four teams, now in Division I, some new and old faces stepped up in Division II. St. Vincent-St. Mary advanced into the state dual, while Louisville, a final four team in each of the past two seasons, joined them from the Perry District.

Buckeye dominated the top half of the Norwalk District, and Wauseon had its way with the bottom half. The other four teams to qualify were West Holmes and Indian Valley from the Steubenville district and St. Paris Graham and Vandalia Butler, which edged Columbus DeSales by just two points, out of the Wilmington district.

In Division III Rootstown and Perry both survived the Garfield Heights district. They will be joined by Barnesville and Martin’s Ferry out of the Coshocton district, Archbold and Liberty Center from the Rossford district and Legacy Christian and Versailles from the Troy district.
